An Open Letter To My 3 Year Old

Dear Jack,

I can’t believe that you’re about to start preschool. It seems like just yesterday you were my round, bobble headed, huge smiling baby.

I know that the closer time gets to the first day of school, the more nervous you become. I’m nervous, too, Baby. But I know you will love it. You will have so much fun making new friends.

I know that you’re still feeling hurt after the birth of your sister. Even if you don’t know it. I see it. I want you to know that daddy and I love you just as much as before. You are still our handsome biscuit and you are still our silly clown.

I wish I could grow more arms so I could hold you just as much as before.

We are so proud of you, Jack. You are getting to be such a big boy, complete with big boy undies and a big boy school. Have fun wearing your backpack and using your lunchbox, little man.

I love you, Biscuit.

Love, Mama

  1. Made me “puddle up.”
Being the middle child is hard…. not big enough …..too big.
He needs to know he’s loved and boy, he does!
